MatsuKen Love~

Ever since i found the L 'shower scene' in L:Change the World, i've been hooked on Ken'ichi Matsuyama (MatsuKen). So i began searching for all the other j-dorama and j-movies that he has acted in and i chanced upon this gem of a j-dorama.

Sexy Voice and Robo is based on a manga of the same name and was aired last year in May.. Lol pardon my insane slowness..

Hayashi Niko codenamed Sexy Voice. She can replicate the voices of other people whom she has met before and has insanely good hearing skills.. If she looks familiar, thats probably coz you saw her in Memiors of a Geisha as the young Sayuri =)

Hahahaha the things MatsuKen-sama has to do for this show and the things he has to wear ^.^

I'm a considerate person =) I dont like to give spoilers so the screenshots are not in any particular order.. In fact some of the funniest moments of each episode are not posted here so you can laugh somemore when you watch.. Looking at the screenshots i dont blame you if you think this is a silly show but besides the extreme laughter, there is the extreme tears.. Im no fan of sad weepy dramas where you are simply expected to be sad and cry buckets coz i get bored shitless really easily. (1litre no namida anyone? Couldnt get past the 4th ep without nodding off. Coincidentally MatsuKen was in it too) But Sexy Voice and Robo pulled a hat trick and made me bawl my eyes out by the second episode.. The scripting is superb, the pacing is not too slow for me and the acting is top-grade. Both the main leads and the guest actors fit their characters perfectly.. What i like about this show is that the point of the show is NOT to make you cry. Its not a sad show with funny bits; its a drama with both funny AND sad bits and the actors pull both off fantastically.. The storyline never ceases to surprise me in every episode and thats what engages me and keeps me going back for more.. I started watching this show becoz of MatsuKen but now i think the draw of the show is not just the cuteness of the lead actor but the power of the storyline.. Catch this j-dorama, its really worth the time (lol i skipped work yest just to watch half of the entire series woot totally worth giving up my 55 bux)

How Do You Measure Happiness?

Yes, that strangely dressed thing standing next to the girl is Ken'ichi Matsuyama, better known as L. He's my third form of happiness lol especially in the new series Sexy Voice and Robo. Watch it to laugh at Ken'ichi in his most outrageous role like ever, as well as the brilliant acting of his 15 year old co-star.. This is a comedy show with some of the most poignant moments ive seen since NANA the anime... Lol i swear Ken'ichi has the cutest lips ever =) Maybe second to Gaara-sama's hehehe

Music Makes Me Happy

I'm probably the most satisfied when im plugged in to the computer and windows media player is churning out new songs on my playlist.. Especially if these new songs have deliciously rich melodies topped off with my favourite accompaniment and heart-wrenching lyrics. Melancholic accoustic guitar and violin melodies, crashing drums, mind-blowing electric guitar riffs.. Japanese or english lyrics really don't matter, i'll understand them both. I could sit here for hours, drowning in all this music and ill never get tired of it.

New imeem player with two of my new favourite songs. Guren (紅蓮) by The GazettE, one of the best visual kei jrock bands ever, with a new song that may surpass all the other songs they have ever done. Cocoon by Anna Tsuchiya, the punk-rock singer who is the living embodiment of Nana Osaki from NANA.

So much wonderful music in the world, so little time. Will probably have to add more songs to the playlist tmr.. Pardon me, im too tired to upload my new songs onto imeem hehe..

Sing or die.

I'm not happy sitting in an office day in day out, 8.30am-6pm. And it won't be very much different once i get a degree would it? Law degree, biomed degree, arts&socialsci degree, in the end it boils down to one important thing.. I have to ditch my dream. Ditch what i really want to do.. and die i suppose. Since there isnt really any alternative... Sing or die... Id like to think im realistic enough to know my limits.. But id also like to smash such logical thoughts into a wall.. Becoz logical does not equate to happiness... Whats the point in being realistic and unhappy???

So while i lose myself in my imagination, dreaming up my ideal world and my ideal life, do give the songs a full listen.. You might lose yourself too =)

The Worst Thing

The worst thing possible has happened to me.





My sony ericsson earphones are broken.. And i have had to say goodbye to the noise cancellation and the mega bass.
Argggghh just when GazettE just released their new rocking single Guren..

On a side note, ive been feeling kinda under the weather past couple of weeks plus im rushing to study for my theory exam (am i the only idiot taking higher grade theory exams?) and im super depressed by work. So i havent been in the mood to start up my music blog or update my story.. Though i already have a couple of unedited chapters -.-

Results are bound to be out this week. Let's wait and see, shall we?

Help me Gaara-sama dont let me epic phail my alevels, i swear you can take years off my life if you want to just let me do as well as my mum says i will

Usual Frustration At Humans

GAHHHHHHH there are some moments when i experience a severe flash of hatred for the people from my class. C'mon man are you that DENSE?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

This is a total rollseyes moment.

Self-Indulgence

I have the inspiration for my story but am too lazy to sit down in front of the com for a couple of hours to write a chapter. *stares at ideas in notebook* I shall make a promise to myself to finish 4 chapters this week.. There is nothing ever to do during Chinese New Year anyway.

I'm also thinking of maintaining a separate blog for my musical inspirations.. A sort of music review and download blog since i think im the only one i know who listens to quirky stuff that nobody has heard before. But with 2 major piano exams coming up and a story to write, i fear i wont have enough time to maintain three blogs=( since the majority of my time is spent doing useless things at work (and not earning very much i might add) or working out at home.

But whatever larh. I think i'll do it anyway. I have a million nice new songs to chew on xD and yes on top of all this blog business, i swear to practice my piano everyday.
